District Manager, Biomedical Engineering


Location: Cleveland, OH (Relocation Assistance Available) 

Schedule: Onsite 5 days/week 

Experience Level: Director (7+ Years Management & Functional)


Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned District Manager of Biomedical Engineering to oversee healthcare technology management (HTM) operations for a massive, 23-hospital academic health system in the Cleveland area. This health system is nationally recognized for leadership and excellence in patient care.

As the Executive Director for this account, you will serve as the primary strategic partner and point of contact, ensuring that clinical engineering services are predictable, reliable, and repeatable.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategies to accelerate business growth and technical service expansion throughout the region.
  • Client Governance: Serve as the principal executive point of contact for the health system’s leadership, managing complex relationships and governance structures.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive strong business results in healthcare technology management while ensuring a safe work environment and enforcement of all safety programs.
  • Financial Management: Assess financial risks and opportunities, manage budgets, and communicate results to senior management and the client.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations meet federal, state, and local regulations as well as specific company and client policies.
  • Team Development: Lead succession planning and the development of key personnel to build a dynamic, diverse team.


Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of management and functional experience in Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) or Clinical Engineering within a large healthcare environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: * Intermediate proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)for compliance tracking.
  • Working knowledge of Clinical Asset Management software to monitor device performance and optimize uptime.
  • Understanding of Cybersecurity challenges and solutions specific to healthcare providers.
  • Career Stability: A proven track record with an average tenure of 3+ years per role is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Certified Healthcare Technology Manager (CHTM) or Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE).
