Job Overview
Skilled Epic Medical Analyst to lead the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of our Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. In this role, you will act as a vital link between IT and clinical operations, ensuring that Epic modules effectively support patient care and streamline administrative workflows. You will collaborate with diverse healthcare teams to troubleshoot technical issues, implement system updates, and train users on best practices for EHR utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Configuration: Configure Epic modules, manage patches, and ensure optimal system performance through regular maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Workflow Optimization: Analyze current clinical workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement Epic-based solutions that enhance productivity.
- Training & Support: Provide hands-on training for clinical and administrative staff and offer ongoing support to address complex user inquiries.
- Data & Reporting: Utilize Epic reporting tools to extract and analyze critical data for organizational decision-making and quality improvement.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous system testing and quality assurance to ensure all system requirements and healthcare regulations are met.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare IT, Health Information Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in healthcare IT, with at least 1–2 years specifically focused on the build and maintenance of Epic modules.
- Certification: Active Epic Certification in relevant modules (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, or Clinical Documentation).
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and data privacy regulations like HIPAA.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to collaborate with clinical, IT, and administrative teams to facilitate smooth system adoption.
