Maintenance Technician (Forge)

Location: North Vernon, IN (Onsite) 

Schedule: 3rd Shift

Salary Range: $24.00 – $29.00 per hour 

Position Type: 12-Month Contract-to-Hire

The Maintenance Technician provides technical support to ensure plant equipment meets and exceeds production expectations. In this role, you will collaborate with maintenance and production supervisors to align repairs with plant priorities and maintain continuous operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Reliability: Safely maintain and repair forging-related equipment to meet high-volume plant standards.
• Collaborative Maintenance: Partner with Team Leaders and Operators to ensure tasks are completed and equipment is tested and ready for production.
• Operational Planning: Assist with planned equipment changes and upgrades to ensure minimum disruption to operations.
• Team Synergy: Rotate and assist other Maintenance Specialists as directed to optimize time management across the shift.

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. An Associate Degree in Applied Science (Electronic, Mechanical, Hydraulics, or Automated Manufacturing) is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing operations.
• Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of processes including compacting, forging, deflash, double disk grind, shot peen, and whitelight inspection.
• Quality Standards: Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or ISO 14001 is a plus.
