Maintenance Tech Electrical
Location: North Vernon, IN (Onsite)
Schedule: 2nd Shift
Salary Range: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Position Type: 12-Month Contract-to-Hire
Job Overview
The Maintenance Technician provides technical support for automation hardware and software within a high-speed manufacturing environment. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems to ensure production reliability and support continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Maintenance: Support production by repairing 3-axis CNC mills, conveyors, machine automation, and industrial robots.
- Automation Upgrades: Participate in the launch of new equipment and perform control modifications or upgrades.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics to analyze and solve equipment failures using sound repair methodology.
- Preventative Care: Perform routine, predictive, and preventative maintenance inspections as scheduled.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment by following ISO/IATF quality standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. An Associate Degree in Applied Science (Electronic, Mechanical, Hydraulics, or Automated Manufacturing) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing
- Technical Skills: * Advanced proficiency in Allen Bradley and/or Fanuc controls.
- Practical knowledge of hardware and operating computer systems.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and electrical prints.
