Senior MES Engineer (Solution Architect)

Job Overview
High-caliber Senior Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer to serve as a Solution Architect and technical leader within our Raleigh business unit. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers in identifying requirements, evaluating MES platforms, and implementing full-scale solutions for the Life Science industry. This is a leadership position that blends technical mastery with business development aptitude, focused on creating long-term partnerships and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture: Conceptualize, detail, and implement MES solutions that integrate process knowledge, equipment design, and IT to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Project Leadership: Manage project lifecycles up to $1M, including budgeting, task prioritization, scheduling, and financial reporting.
- Technical Integration: Ensure seamless integration between software design/configuration and Level 2 and Level 4 systems.
- Business Development: Actively participate in trade shows and associations to secure repeat work and build new customer partnerships.
- Mentorship: Act as the technical lead on projects, guiding and mentoring lower-level engineers and technicians.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Sciences.
- Experience: 10+ years of overall experience with at least 4 years specifically in Life Science MES.
- Technical Mastery: Proven deployment experience with platforms such as Werum PAS-X, Sepasoft, or POMS.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep familiarity with cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP5, S88, and S95 standards.
- Systems Integration: Proficiency with interfaces for systems such as DeltaV, SAP, LIMS, PI, and Maximo.
